Category 1 Manager, equipment purchase contracts, TCO PROJECT MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT

Qualification requirements:

  • Higher economic or technical education
  • Occupational life of at least 7 years, of them in the professional sphere – at least 7 years
  • Occupational life in the KMG group of companies – at least 2 years

Required knowledge and skills:

  • knowledge of the RoK legislation governing the matters of subsoil use, and the Kazakh content in oil and gas projects;
  • knowledge of management, economics and finance of oil and gas projects, organization, planning and administration of projects;
  • Microsoft Office software package skills;
  • skills of conducting analytical, systems and statistical analysis;

Job description:

  • analysis of TCO's equipment purchase contracts with a view to preparing recommendations for the management of the department, monitoring maintenance of the terms relating to observance and improvement of the competitiveness of the equipment purchase tenders held;
  • participation in the work of TCO’s contract groups in the course of development and awarding of equipment purchase contracts to ensure safeguarding of the Kazakh suppliers’ interests and compliance of bidding processes;
  • analysis of TCO’s equipment suppliers in order to identify the potential areas of replacement of foreign suppliers with Kazakh suppliers;
  • monitoring of the contract development and awarding processes;
  • development of proposals relating to the inclusion of KMG’s equipment suppliers and other Kazakh equipment suppliers in the TCO’s suppliers list with a view to increasing the Kazakh content in the TCO project;
  • rendering assistance in the implementation of the Action Plan to Increase the Kazakh content in the total amount of KMG’s goods, works and services purchases in the direction “piecework and small-batch production, equipment for major fields” and similar programs in the future;
  • maintenance of TCO's equipment supply database for the purpose of further analysis and processing of the data to produce reports to the management and at the request of other KMG’s structural subdivisions.

Category 1 Manager, WELL DRILLING AND WORKOVER, TCO PROJECT MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT

Qualification requirements:

  • Higher technical education, a certificate in management, evaluation and implementation of projects is desirable
  • Occupational life of at least 7 years, of them in the professional sphere – at least 7 years
  • Occupational life in the KMG group of companies – at least 2 years

Job description:

  • analysis and monitoring of technological development plans;
  • monitoring and analysis of the proposed options of well drillings and well workovers, compliance with the RoK regulatory instruments;
  • analysis of well plans used, their conformance to the requirements for protection of mineral resources, the conditions of the technological development plan and well designs, control over the efficiency of measures to prevent problems in construction of wells;
  • participation in development of the annual and indicative plans and measures to drill new wells and work wells over;
  • expert appraisal and integration of TCO’s work programs, budgets and reports on the matters of making decisions on the use of drilling rigs, repair and construction of wells;
  • monitoring the contracting companies’ work on rendering services during construction of wells, control over fulfillment of obligations as to the Kazakh goods and services and of the principal contract terms, preparation of proposals and recommendations, and analytical reports.

Job description:

  • analysis and monitoring of the current status of sour gas injection in the experimental area of TCO’s Tengiz field, preparation of recommendations on this matter;
  • creation of geoinformation, technical-and-economical databases on the sour gas injection projects, evaluation of recovery methods;
  • analysis of the efficiency and monitoring of measures to intensify the flow through hydrochloric acid washings and bottom hole treatment using Coiled Tubing Unit;
  • participation in production of recommendations during development of programs for SGI research, improvement of the operational efficiency and reduction of the overhaul life of producing and injection wells, control over the approved reservoir drive and production condition of deposits;
  • study of the results of all types of well test, geophysical and laboratory studies for correction of the filtration properties of various segments of a petroleum deposit and correction of the flow computer model of a field based on these data;
  • collection and provision of data for performing detailed analysis of the geologic-geophysical and field data, and reservoir simulation.

  • analysis and assessment of constructability, the proposed processes and equipment for SGI facilities and BFs, analysis and assessment of the impact of various variants of the proposed operational procedures on the reservoir performance;
  • coordination of the estimated cost and the project schedule as related to SGI facilities and BFs;
  • monitoring the execution and analysis of the FGP budget costs in order to identify the cost overrun risks and formulate proposals for achievement of the design performance for the SGI facilities and BFs;
  • registration and control over responses to TCO’s requests on the FGP SGI facilities and BFs, taking necessary measures on expert appraisal and approval of these requests.

  • preparation of KMG’s position for considering the annual budget of projects, within the reliability programs; participation in development, analysis and technical-and-economic appraisal of the annual budget and work program on the existing operations facilities;
  • monitoring execution of TCO projects, within the reliability program, incl.:  monitoring execution and analysis of TCO’s capital expenditure budget with a view to formulating proposals for achievement of the design performance;
  • analysis of monthly reports under the reliability programs, identification of the impact of the execution schedule delay and budget overruns for the existing operations facilities;
  •  analysis of the efficiency of the reliability improvement programs being introduced and BIS's and schedules.

  • participation in meetings of TCO’s advisory boards with a view to preparing recommendations to KMG’s management on health, safety and environment;
  • cooperation with TCO on the matters of the environment and safety of TCO’s core operations.
