Speakers

A video conferencing session with Peter Senge (USA) who was named a ‘top management guru’ by Financial Times, will be a highlight event. Ideas of Pr. Peter Senge have profoundly influenced the contemporary management. Such notions as ‘learning organization’, ‘fifth discipline’, ‘intellectual models’ had become classical in the management model a long time ago. However, the scientist does not often appear in the business environment, he prefers to be an independent academic researcher. He is a leading expert in the learning organization and system thinking, he published books ‘The Fifth Discipline’, ‘The Dance of Change: The Challenges to Sustaining Momentum in Learning Organizations, 2004’, ‘'The Necessary Revolution: How Individuals and Organizations Are Working Together to Create a Sustainable World', 2008’.

Speakers of the Conference will be Kairat Kelimbetov — CEO of Samruk-Kazyna JSC and such competent HR managers as Sergey Gorkov — Deputy Chairman of the Management Board in Sberbank JSC (Moscow), Jonathan Collinwood — HR Director in BG Group for Europe and Central Asia (Great Britain), Dmitry Shakhanov — Vice President of RZD JSC (Moscow), Sergey Vorobiev — Partner and Co-Founder of Ward Howell, Derk Koole — General Director and Partner with Hay Group Russia and CIS, Jason Gregory — Training Director in Edexcell (Great Britain), Sholpan Yerzhigitova — Director of HR Department in NC ‘KazMunayGas’ JSC, Maria Devain — Compensations and Benefits Director in PetroKazakhstan Overseas Inc., Makpal Nusipova — HR Director in JV ‘CATKO’ LLC, Timur Shakuov — Director of Training Department in Agip KCO JSC. et alia.

One of the speakers on Conference Day 2 will be Lisa Lahey, Associate in Graduate School of Education at Harvard University, co-founder and director of MINDS AT WORK™. Together with Robert Kegan she discovered reasons of ‘immunity to change’, which impedes personal and organizational transformation. She is the author of ‘Immunity to Change’, 2009, ‘How The Way We Talk Can Change The Way We Work’ (2001), books published in many languages. Lisa Lahey and Robert Kegan received Gislason award for exceptional contribution to organizational leadership.

Conference’s Distinguished Guests

In recent years a keen public interest was shown to the HR management style of famous and successful people who do not deal with HR directly (politicians, businessmen, show business workers etc.). How they manage people, what they do to achieve common objectives, how they unite people and sustain their self-belief, all these and many others considerations participants can get from the first hand during a talk show ‘Distinguished Guests’. Talk show ‘Distinguished Guests’ is a format of conversation with people well-known to the public who are not HR specialists but in their work successfully manage one of the most important resource — people. Akim of Astana city Imangali Tasmagambetov, famous musician Marat Bisengaliyev and successful businessman Kairat Mazhibayev are invited as Distinguished Guests.

Last-year Conference’s Talk-show that hosted Ruben Andriasian — Artistic Director of Lermontov Theatre, Peter Foster – President of Air Astana, and Alikhan Baimenov — Chairman of Ak-Zhol party generated considerable interest. Guests shared their success stories and invaluable HRM experience.
