Completion of the construction of the 2011 Social Infrastructure Facility Ambulatory Clinic in the Residential Area Mangystau-5 of the Munaylinskyi District of the Mangystau Region

The grand opening of the Ambulatory Clinic in the Residential area Mangystau-5 of the Munaylinskyi District took place on December 13th of the current year.

The execution of this social project was co-funded by the participants of the projects ‘Tub-Karagan’, ’Kurmangazy’ and ’Pearls’. The consolidation of funds under the social obligations allows funding of significant and large-scale facilities in the Mangystau region.

In accordance with the Funding Agreement, the Akimat of the Mangystau region selected contractors and carried out the technical supervision over construction via an authorized company.

The total cost of this facility, including the technical design development and construction on a "turnkey" basis, was in the amount of $960,000 US.

The Technical Design was developed by Aktau Saulet-Kurylys LLP, and ‘turnkey’ basis construction of the Ambulatory Clinic was carried out by the General Contractor ‘Ali- Khan Kurylys Aktau’ LLP.

The opening of the Ambulatory Clinic is a significant event for the residents of the Mangystau-5 Residential Area.

This facility is socially significant for the developing area and its objective is to solve the issue pertaining to the lack of skilled medical assistance, such as medical physicians, nurses and specialized physicians for the residents of this area.

The capacity of the Ambulatory Clinic is to serve 50 patients per shift. The total area of the Ambulatory Clinic building is 550 m2.

The Clinic includes the following premises: premedical and medical consultation offices, pediatrician’s office, obstetrician and gynecologist’s office, medical procedure and physical therapy rooms, four rooms of day inpatient ward for 10 people and other service premises.

The Tub-Karagan, Kurmangazy and Pearls Projects are conducting the Petroleum Operations for exploration and development of oil structures located in the Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian Sea. For each project an Operating Company was appointed, which conducts the business activity for and on behalf of the Participating Companies.

“Tub-Karagan” Project

The Production Sharing Agreement for the Tub-Karagan area located in the Caspian Sea was signed between the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Company KazMunayGas JSC on December 29, 2003. In 2004 the Subsoil Use rights of the National Company KazMunayGas JSC under the Production Sharing Agreement was assigned to KazMunayTeniz OOC JSC and Lukoil Overseas Shelf B.V., which are the equal Parties to the Production Sharing Agreement.
Lukoil Overseas Shelf B.V. is 100% subsidiary of LUKOIL Overseas Holding Ltd., which was established for the implementation of oil projects on the Caspian Sea shelf of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Joint Operating Company Tub-Karagan Operating Company B.V. was established in 2004 to implement the Tub-Karagan Project. The Tub-Karagan area is located in the Central part of the Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian Sea.

“Kurmangazy”Project

The Production Sharing Agreement for the Kurmangazy structure located in the Caspian Sea was signed on July 6, 2005 between the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of  Kazakhstan on behalf of the Republic of Kazakhstan and KazMunayTeniz OOC JSC and RN-Kazakhstan LLC.
In order to determine the mutual rights and obligations under the Kurmangazy Project KazMunayTeniz OOC JSC and RN-Kazakhstan LLC have signed the Joint Operating Agreement on July 6, 2005 for the development of the Kurmangazy structures located in the Caspian Sea.
RN-Kazakhstan Limited Liability Company was established on April 19, 2001 and is subsidiary of Oil Company Rosneft OJSC.
Kurmangazy Petroleum LLP was established on September 1, 2005 and appointed as the operating company and is 100% subsidiary of KazMunayTeniz OOC JSC.

“Pearls” Project

The Production Sharing Agreement for the Pearls Contract Area located in the Northern part of the Caspian Sea was signed on December 14, 2005 between KazMunayTeniz OOC JSC, Shell EP Offshore Ventures Limited and Oman Pearls Company Limited.
Caspi Meruerty Operating Company B.V. is the Operator of the Pearls Project. The Company was established on January 8, 2007 in the Netherlands. The participating interests of the Parties in the Base Capital of the Joint Operating Company distribute as follows: KazMunayTeniz OOC JSC - 40%, Shell EP Offshore Ventures Ltd. - 40% and Oman Pearls Company Ltd. - 20%;

JSC OOC "KazMunayTeniz" was established on March 14, 2003 and is a 100% subsidiary of   JSC NC "KazMunayGas".
