On completion of a new kindergarten construction for 120 places

On March 22 this year an opening ceremony of a new kindergarten for 120 places was held in Kuryk village, Mangistau oblast. This social project implementation became possible due to Participants of «Atash», «Tub -Karagan», «Kurmangazy» and the «Pearls» projects who, with consent of Akimat of Mangistau oblast, decided to jointly finance the construction. The consolidation of funds under the above offshore projects will allow to finance further significant social projects in Mangistau oblast.

According to Financing Agreement Akimat of Mangistau oblast through the authorized organization arranged the selection of contractors and executed a technical supervision of construction progress.

Estimated project cost is USD 1 380 000, including the development of technical project documentation (TPD) and construction on terms — «ready-to-operate». «NC Kurylys» LLP was the General Contractor to develop TPD and construct the kindergarten.

All four projects share a common objective to explore and develop oil deposits located in the Kazakhstani Sector of the Caspian Sea. All Operators of these projects conduct their business on behalf and under the instruction of projects Participants.

«Atashsky» project

On December 29, 2003 a Contract for exploration of Atashsky area was signed between Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan and JSC NC «KazMunayGas». The project participants are JSC OOC «KazMunayTeniz» and «Lukoil Overseas Shelf  B. V.» with 50%/50% participating interests.

«Tub-Karagan» project

On December 29, 2003 Production Sharing Agreement on «Tub-Karagan» area was signed between Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan and JSC NC «KazMunayGas». The project participants are JSC OOC «KazMunayTeniz» and «Lukoil Overseas Shelf  B. V.» with 50%/50% participating interests.

«Kurmangazy» project

On July 6, 2005 Production Sharing Agreement on «Kurmangazy» structure was signed between Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan on behalf of the Republic of Kazakhstan and JSC OOC «KazMunayTeniz» and «RN — Kazakhstan» LLC. «The project participants are JSC OOC «KazMunayTeniz» and «RN — Kazakhstan» LLC with 50%/50% participating interests.

«The Pearls» project

On December 14, 2005 Production Sharing Agreement on «The Pearls» contract area in the North Caspian Sea was signed between JSC OOC «KazMunayTeniz», «Shell EP Offshore Ventures Limited and Oman Pearls Company Limited».
The project participants are JSC OOC «KazMunayTeniz»- 25 %, «Shell EP Offshore Ventures Limited» — 55% and «Oman Pearls Company Limited» — 20%.
