Training of the personnel for offshore petroleum operations

Education and training of young specialists of "KazMunayTeniz" LPP OOC

Given the large-scale offshore oil and gas operations planned in the near future in accordance with the State Program on Development of Kazakhstan Sector of the Caspian Sea and the lack of highly skilled Petroleum Engineers in the country, in 2006, KMT initiated a program of advanced training of young professionals. The Program included implementation of complex measures on training of Kazakhstan personnel for offshore oil operations in foreign oil companies.

To this end, the Company during 5 consecutive years has been selecting best graduates and young specialists and sending them to the leading international oil and service companies for long-term (1 to 4 years) education and training.

In training matters the Company cooperated with international oil and gas and service companies such as Shell, ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips, Eni, Kellogg Brown& Root, Total, Keppel, Worley Parsons, Aker Solutions, BUE, Baker Hughes.

In total, 38 assistant engineers have been trained in the international oil and service companies.
